The Queensland Government's DestinationQ agenda is about growing the tourism industry together and achieving our shared goal of increasing overnight visitor expenditure to $30 billion by 2020. As part of DestinationQ a 20-year plan for the industry was developed, Destination Success provides a shared purpose and a common goal between the industry and Government.

As the Queensland Government's lead marketing, destination and experience development, and major events agency, Tourism and Events Queensland (TEQ) play an integral part in the delivery of the government's DestinationQ strategy.

Partnership agreements between TEQ and Queensland's 13 regional tourism organisations were developed in 2012 to ensure the pursuit of shared goals for tourism in each destination between now and 2020.
