With the rapidly changing COVID-19 situation and subsequent impacts being felt across the industry, Tourism and Events Queensland (TEQ) has made the decision to pause the Best of Queensland Experiences Program, effective immediately. As a priority, TEQ will be working closely with industry to provide increased support and guidance during this unprecedented crisis.

TEQ understands that there are operators who have worked hard and strived for improvement in all areas of their business and are keen to see their 2020 program results. TEQ is making these results available to operators, to request your 2020 program results please contact experiences@queensland.com, providing your business name and destination in the subject line. Operators and industry will be notified of future program updates and business impacts associated with COVID-19 will be taken into account for future program assessments.

Best of Queensland Experiences Program

The Best of Queensland Experiences Program is an innovative program that guides the Queensland tourism industry to deliver exceptional customer experiences, create positive word of mouth, help attract more visitors, grow expenditure and increase market share. 

The program has been developed in partnership with the state's Regional Tourism Organisations, the Queensland Tourism Industry Council and the Department of Innovation, Tourism Industry Development and the Commonwealth Games. It identifies and recognises experiences that best bring the Queensland story to life and consistently deliver a high-quality visitor experience.

The program is based on an independent set of criteria that incorporates online customer reviews, responds to consumer expectations and reflects industry best practice. 

All operators in the program receive a personalised bench-marking report, allowing them to celebrate their successes and continually deliver exceptional experiences. 

The Best of Queensland Experiences are assessed on an annual basis.
