Great Barrier Reef tourism panel discussion and breakfast

11 November 2019 07:00 AM - 11 November 2019 08:30 AM

Cairns, Queensland

The Great Barrier Reef is home to one of the world’s most complex and uniquely diverse ecosystems. Our tourism industry has an important role to play in connecting visitors to the reef and presenting the values of the UNESCO World Heritage area to the millions that visit annually. Research shows that the strong connection tourists feel to the reef after visiting translate into positive intentions to help with environmental issues, which is an important outcome for the reef’s long-term health.

Join Tourism and Events Queensland (TEQ) together with Tourism Tropical North Queensland (TTNQ) and a panel of scientists, educators and tourism experts at an upcoming breakfast to discuss Australia’s largest and most valuable natural asset, the Great Barrier Reef.
