Visitor Information Centre Storytelling Workshops

08 May 2018 - 19 June 2018

Queensland

To continue the momentum and develop the love and art of Storytelling, Visit Queensland (VQ) in collaboration with Tourism & Event Queensland (TEQ) is pleased to announce the roll-out of a series of storytelling workshops specifically designed for accredited Visitor Information Centres.

At Visit Queensland we believe that story telling is an effective way to connect with visitors; that VIC staff and volunteers on the front line are in the best position to tell these stories to visitors and that these workshops will assist staff and volunteers to:

 1.  examine & review their destination

 2. identify their stories in line with regional campaigns and experiences and

 3. discuss ways to deliver that story to visitors.

The workshop will follow the key messages currently communicated to stakeholders. This will ensure that through effective story telling the VIC staff and volunteers will maximize opportunities for increased revenue & visitation to their regions.
