With cancelled bookings from Greater Sydney coming in around Queensland right before Christmas, TEQ quickly launched a ‘last minute summer holidays’ tactical marketing blitz on 23 December targeting Queenslanders to lock in last minute deals.

Print, radio and social media advertising linked through to operator deals on Queensland.com, which recorded its largest daily traffic volume in more than three years on 28 December.

The spike in traffic to Queensland.com continues, with almost 20 per cent more volume than last year’s post-Christmas travel planning rush.

More than 37,000 leads to tourism operators have been generated during the campaign period.
