Welcome to the Year of Indigenous Tourism

The Year of Indigenous Tourism has been officially extended to 2021, celebrating Indigenous experiences, boosting their profile and aiming to attract visitors to learn and experience more about one of the world’s oldest living cultures. 

The Indigenous tourism sector in Queensland has grown by 6.4 per cent on average over the five years to December 2019, with 472,000 visitors to Queensland participating in an Indigenous tourism experience.

Even if you don’t operate an Indigenous tourism experience there are plenty of ways to help grow the sector and potentially bring benefits back to your business:
