More than 400 ProBloggers heading to the Gold Coast this September
29 August 2013
The Gold Coast may be ‘Famous for Fun’ but in two weeks’ time it will also become ‘Famous for blogging’, when Australia’s blogging guru Darren Rowse brings his annual ProBlogger Training Event to the Sunshine State.
This is the first time the event has taken place outside of Melbourne and the largest conference yet. The event has grown by roughly 100 people each year from its inception in 2010.
Organisers of this year’s event had their expectations smashed, with tickets selling out in record time and over 430 people committed to attend.
Mr Rowse, a long-term fan of holidaying in Queensland, said he was looking forward to bringing the conference to a fresh, fun destination.
“Attendees of this year’s event are some of Australia’s most influential bloggers and social media users. Together their combined reach exceeds over 15 million followers so we look forward to there being quite a bit of buzz about what our bloggers experience over their two days on the Gold Coast,” he said.
QT Gold Coast will certainly be buzzing on Friday 13 and Saturday 14 September with three of their conference rooms the setting for the hot bed of education and networking.
A cocktail soirée around the pool at Hilton Surfers Paradise on the Friday night will provide the ultimate Gold Coast showcase and celebration.
As well as soaking up eons of tips and insights from international keynote speakers and big-name bloggers such as Clare Bowditch, Trey Ratcliff (stuckincustoms.com), Tsh Oxenreider (simplemom.net) and Caz and Craig Makepeace (ytravelblog.com), more than 65 bloggers across a wide variety of niches will participate in pre and post event familiarisations organised by Tourism and Events Queensland, to soak up the best that the Gold Coast has to offer.
“We’re excited to see many of our attendees will be out and about on the Gold Coast before and after the event - visiting and hopefully blogging about - all that the region has to offer,” Mr Rowse said.
