The 2017-18 Regional Tourism Satellite Accounts (RTSA) are produced by Tourism Research Australia (TRA) and released in December 2019.
The RTSAs evaluate tourism industry activity and performance within tourism regions and measure both the direct and indirect impacts of tourism on the economy and include metrics such as gross regional product and employment.
Direct impacts include those generated by transactions between visitors and the producer of tourism goods or services involving direct physical or economic relationship. Indirect impacts include the flow on effects generated by the requirement for inputs to supply tourism goods and services
The results in the fact sheets below represent financial year 2017-18 data and this information is updated on an annual basis.
